I am back after working over 42 hours in three days I have caught up on sleep and I am excited to share what my garden is up to now!
Yellow and Zuccini squash
Dill, basil mix, and jack be little pumpkins
(these need to be replanted very soon!)
More yellow squash
Peas (still mislabeled)
Oh and my new compost bin!
I went to a local composing seminar yesterday, very informative.
I have decided I want to do warm and worm composting. So I can make worm tea and compost tea for my garden.
Please post links to your garden photos I would love to see them!!
I love having my veggie garden, I can’t wait to see it continue to grow and start seeing veggies appearing!
I just hope I can keep it growing well when I go back to working 60+ hours a week.
So here where we are:
Broccoli (is very sad)
(replanted bottoms from store bought celery)
Rhubarb Swiss chard
( I think that’s what this is, I have two plants that had their labels stolen, I need to relabel them)
(this is the other, I think this is romaine)
Red Siberian tomato
(barely growing, I think it’s been a little warm here for it)
Jack be little pumpkins
& dolce vita basil blend
(so excited to have lots of basil!)
Italian Large leaf basil
(these have shot up like weeds! And their roots are going all over all ready)
(one of my favorite)
Italian red onion
I love these jiffy pots!
Thanks for looking, I hope to keep them growing and keep updating thru harvest!! 🙂
This is what I do, I am a Script Supervisor for film and television. I have been doing this since I was 17, and I love it! The hours and instability of this business are crazy but I still love it.
It’s time for me to dust off my dexter chair back and start preparing everything for next week.
I will be working on the first 3 or 4 episodes of season 7 until the show’s regular Scripty is available again.
This photo (above) is from when I worked on the show in 2010.
(Thanks again to J for having my chair back made!! Oh and for reminding me to bring it next week)
This is my view, I do all my work off these two monitors.
These are all from various filming locations from various shows
Me riding along with other crew members back in 2010
Thanks for reading!
The next filmmaking post will be explaining the details of what a script supervisor does…
This is my first year planting a veggie garden. I am sprouting my seeds in a few different types of pots, from peat pots to jiffy pots to leftover pots from plants bought at Lowes.
Here’s what I’m growing:
Red Siberian tomatoes
Italian red onions
Jalapeño (which is sprouting much slower than others)
Beans (need to look again to remember what kind of bean, oops!)
A lettuce blend (just starting to sprout)
Evening sun sunflowers
French ‘Cinderella’ Pumpkins
( that have already been a little chewed on by snails)
And along with the corn, yesterday I planted Dill, Basil, and ‘jack be little’ pumpkin seeds in jiffy pots
Soon I hope to share my container herb garden and some other fun stuff…
Mmm cookies ….
My boyfriend and roommate both love when I make these cookies, they request them on a weekly basis.
These are a basic chocolate chip cookie with crushed corn flakes, oats, and (sometimes) shredded coconut.
If I have them on hand I like to use three kinds of chocolate chips: white, milk, and semisweet. These just have milk and semisweet.
I will post the recipe soon!! Now I must get back to gardening…
Hi all! Does anyone know what this sprout is? Its a veggie seed I planted but the birds stole the sign and I am having trouble identifying it
So to introduce myself i thought i would post some pictures from this past year of baking. I won’t say highlights since i am so bad about taking pictures when i’m baking, cooking, etc. I don’t have photos of the ones i would choose to highlight. But here are a few examples of my past year as a part of Elle and Olle’s Goodies and Noms . I bake for friends and family on my own daily but last year i also started Elle and Olle’s with one of my best friends. We didn’t open a store front we simply cater and bake to order custom cakes and deserts.
I have been working in film and TV for over 8 years now, i have always loved to cook and bake ( thanks to my grandmother),
I went to a local, independent culinary school for Chefs training and Pasty Chef training over the last few years (more about that later). I am planting my own organic vegetable garden for the first time (Yay!). And I love being a hostess, usually just to small groups of friends, but hopefully soon a large dinner party will be in the works.
So here are some things from the last couple years:
This was my first fondant cover cake back in 2010
This is a beach birthday cake we made for my mothers birthday in 2011.
(Non- fondant cake)
Peppermint bark Cheesecake
(Christmas Special at Elle and Olle’s Goodies and Noms )
Sugar Flower (Gum Paste) Practice
Pretty in Pink Cake
– Made for my sisters 15th Birthday in 2011 as a joke. She HATES pink.
Her real cake, not as neatly made but much more her style! (Pretend you don’t see the wilton color jar)
Rose frosted cupcake
Oh another thing you should probably know about me, I am the ” anti cupcakery.” I will only make mini cupcakes, not regular size. I don’t know why i just dislike regular size cup cakes!
Small Lady bug cake (Made just for fun)
Catering we did for a Crate and Barrel Wedding event
Chocolate Turtle Cupcakes
(These are my favorite cup cakes, Mmmm)
Fresh Spring Peach Cupcakes
And some Elle and Olle’s Cheesecake
(Cheese cake is my baking specialty, I cant get enough of it)
That’s all for now …. its time for me to go garden, and edit an odd short film shot with barbies (trust me you don’t want to know!)
